Somali National University has signed a comprehensive strategic partnership with UNESCO covering curriculum reform, digital learning infrastructure, capacity building for academic staff, and research collaboration on education policy.

UNESCO’s representative praised SNU’s commitment: “SNU represents the aspirations of a new Somalia — one that invests in knowledge as the foundation of sustainable peace and prosperity.”

Programme details

Under the partnership, UNESCO will provide technical assistance for SNU’s quality assurance systems and support establishment of a Centre for Educational Innovation. A joint scholarship programme will fund 50 postgraduate students annually.
